Terms & Conditions

The terms on which SPJSWorks AS sells and licenses Modern DFFS.

Last updated: 6 August 2026

1. Who we are

Modern DFFS is developed and sold by SPJSWorks AS, a company registered in Norway (organization number 937 562 888), with its registered address at Uranveien 8, 3152 Tønsberg, Norway.

You can reach us at our support page, or by email at support@spjsworks.com. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “our” mean SPJSWorks AS; “you” means the individual or organization buying or using Modern DFFS.

2. What you are buying

Modern DFFS is a software product for Microsoft SharePoint Online. You are buying a license to use the software, not ownership of it. What each edition and license scope includes is set out on the Pricing page, and the license terms themselves are set out in the End-User License Agreement, which forms part of these terms.

Where these terms and the EULA disagree, these terms take precedence for matters of sale, payment and refunds; the EULA takes precedence for matters of license scope and permitted use.

3. Orders and payment

Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, who act as Merchant of Record for all purchases. This means your contract of sale for the transaction is with Paddle, who then licenses the software to you on our behalf. Paddle handles payment, invoicing, and sales tax, and their buyer terms apply to the transaction itself.

An order is complete when payment has been confirmed. Licenses are issued manually after purchase: you generate a challenge code from your own installation and we return an activation code by email, normally within one business day. See Get started for the full process.

4. Prices and tax

Prices are listed in US dollars and exclude VAT or sales tax, which is calculated at checkout based on your location. Because Paddle is Merchant of Record, they determine, collect and remit the correct tax for your country. Business buyers can enter a VAT or organization number at checkout where applicable.

We may change our prices at any time. A change never affects an order already placed, and never affects the renewal rate of a license you already hold for its current term.

5. Free trial

Modern DFFS is available as a fully functional 30-day trial with no payment details required. The trial is provided as-is for evaluation. When it ends, your forms and configuration are not deleted — features above your licensed tier become read-only until you license them.

6. License term and renewal

A license covers one year from purchase. Continued use beyond the first year requires a maintenance agreement, priced at 20% of the license cost per year, which provides continued use, updates and support.

Renewal is not automatic — nothing is charged to you without you choosing to renew. What happens if a license lapses is described in the Pricing FAQ: a warning period, then a 45-day grace period during which forms continue to work normally, and only after that does the form stop rendering. No configuration or data is deleted at any stage.

7. Support

Support is provided by email through our support page and via the SPJSBlog community forum. We aim to reply within one business day, though we do not guarantee a response time except where an Enterprise license with priority support says otherwise.

Support covers the product working as documented. Assistance with your own custom JavaScript, CSS or business logic is offered where we can, but is not part of the license, and substantial custom work may be chargeable by prior agreement.

8. Updates and changes to the product

While your license or maintenance agreement is active, you have access to all minor and major versions released in that period. Updates are installed by you, by uploading the new package to your app catalog.

We develop Modern DFFS continuously and may add, change or withdraw features. We will not remove a materially advertised feature from a version you are licensed to use, but we do not commit to any specific future functionality or release date.

9. Acceptable use

You may not sublicense, resell, rent or redistribute Modern DFFS, or attempt to circumvent its license validation, except under a written OEM agreement with us. You are responsible for preventing unauthorized use within your organization and for telling us if you become aware of it.

10. Your data

Modern DFFS runs entirely in your own Microsoft 365 tenant. Form data stays in your SharePoint lists and is never sent to us. What the software does communicate, and what this website collects, is set out in our Privacy Policy.

11. Liability

Modern DFFS is provided without warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will meet a particular requirement. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of Modern DFFS is limited to the amount you paid for the license.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. If you are buying as a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.

12. Termination

You may stop using Modern DFFS at any time — see Turning DFFS off & uninstalling, which explains how to remove it cleanly without affecting your list data. We may terminate a license if these terms or the EULA are materially breached, for example by redistributing the software or circumventing license validation.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version published here at the time of your purchase is the one that applies to that purchase. Material changes will be reflected in the “last updated” date above.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Any dispute that cannot be settled amicably shall be subject to the Norwegian courts. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory law in your country of residence.
