Enterprise / Pro add-on

Export clean, branded PDFs straight from a form.

Print to PDF (and to paper) produces a polished document from any form view, with full control over cover page, header, footer, and layout — ideal for records, approvals, and customer copies.

Key capabilities

  • Cover page — optional logo, title, subtitle, and body content.
  • Custom header — HTML content and a logo.
  • Footer — disclaimer text, printed-by name, print date, and page numbers.
  • Tabs to sections — convert tab sets into section headings in the printout.
  • Accurate visibility — automatically runs onclick rules across tabs so only the fields that would really be visible are printed.
  • Hide empty fields — keep the output tidy.
  • Gate and redact from Custom JS — block the export until a form is complete or approved, and mask or reformat individual fields in the printed document only.
  1. Start with the form you already have

No separate template to build and keep in sync. This is an ordinary purchase request in display mode — a tab set, a handful of fields, and a line-item table with a total. Whatever the form shows is what the document will contain.

A purchase request open in display mode, with Request and Attachments tabs. The Request tab shows Title, Requester, Department, Priority as a five-star rating, Date needed, Approver and Status, followed by a line-item table of two products with unit price, quantity and line total, and a total of $608.
  2. A cover page assembled from field values

The cover is optional and entirely yours: a logo, a title, a subtitle, and a body — each built from plain text and field tokens. The title here is fixed, while the subtitle resolves [[fieldValue:Title]] and the body pulls the requester, department, status and due date straight off the item, so every export is specific to the record without anyone editing a template.

The generated PDF cover page: a company logo at the top, the heading Purchase Request, the subtitle New office equipment, and beneath it the submitter and department, the company name, the status Approved and the required-by date.
  3. The record itself — headed, footed, and paginated

Page two carries the header logo and item reference, then the form rendered as a clean document: the tab becomes a section heading, fields become label/value rows, and the line-item table keeps its totals. Fields render the way they look on the form, not as raw stored data — Priority arrives as five stars, not the number 5. Along the bottom, your own footer text sits opposite the printed-by name, the date and the page count — each of those a separate switch, so you can show only what your records actually need.

Page two of the generated PDF: a header with the company logo and the reference Purchase Request #9, a Request section heading, then label and value rows for Title, Requester, Department, Priority shown as five amber stars, Date needed, Approver and Status, the line-item table with its total, and a footer showing the custom disclaimer text on the left and the printed-by name, print date and page number on the right.

Worked example

From a completed approval form, generate a PDF with a branded cover page, a header logo, and a footer showing who printed it, the date, and page numbers — with empty fields hidden and each tab rendered as its own section.
